For those of you who know me—you know that my heart has always been in supporting women through some of life’s most sacred and sensitive seasons. From teenage cycles to fertility struggles, pregnancy care, and postpartum healing to hormonal recalibration—I’ve had the honor of walking alongside so many of you in the treatment room, holding space for your stories, your bodies, your healing.
And for those of you who don’t know me yet, welcome. I’m Kerry—a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, hormone nerd, tea (and wine) lover, and a fan of real gritty talk. An imperfect human who’s passionate about Traditional Chinese Medicine and the wisdom it offers for women’s health. I’ve spent the past several years practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine in a clinical setting, specializing in fertility and integrative wellness, and I’ve loved every minute of that work.
But here’s the truth: I’ve been hearing that little voice—the one I ask so many of you to listen to. The one that whispers: slow down... be present... live the way you encourage others to live.
After much reflection, I’ve made the decision to step away from direct patient care and embrace a new season of life—one where I can nurture not only the health of others, but also the rhythms and relationships within my own home.
This change is deeply personal. I want to take my own advice—to rest more, to savor slow mornings, to be more available to my family, and to honor the sacredness of presence. It’s not a goodbye to my calling. It’s simply a reimagining of how I show up to serve.
And I wouldn’t be stepping into this without the incredible support of the team at EastWest Acupuncture. Their kindness, encouragement, and wholehearted belief in this new direction have meant the world to me. I’m endlessly grateful for the time I spent learning and growing within that beautiful community of healers. They are—and will always be—some of the best in the field.
You’ll still find me in the wellness space—but more often behind the keyboard than the treatment table. I’ll be using this blog (and eventually, a book - yes, it's finally happening!) to share my personal journey with fertility, everyday rituals for hormonal balance, TCM-rooted wellness practices, and tips for integrating ancient wisdom into modern living. My hope is that these stories and strategies help women feel less overwhelmed, more connected, and deeply supported—even from home.
And that brings me to Verdae. What started as a small, handmade candle line has grown into something much deeper. Verdae is not just about lighting a wick—it’s about igniting a sense of presence, healing, and intentional living. It’s wellness, self-care, and deep nourishment through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Every product, post, and practice I share is rooted in this philosophy: that healing can happen at home. Sometimes, it begins with a candle, a cup of tea (or a glass of wine if you're so inclined) a quiet moment, or a story that reminds you—you’re not alone.
Cheers to living a more intentional life filled with love.
With gratitude,
Kerry
